In response to Phaedrus, I went here and then went to find and see a video about Second Life.  I had just registered for a technology class at Morehead this morning, which was the grant writing one, EDUC 611, and I ran across one about education gaming.  I cannot remember what session it is offered, but for those who perhaps have second lives, it might be very useful.

I know that I couldn’t even embed the video into this post in my first life, so as far as a second life, I don’t think I am ready yet, but looks like fun.  I watched CSI a few weeks ago and there was a plot around Second Life, and I didn’t realize that it was a real online game.

The video that I listed above is pretty interesting, showing how it works.  It looks to me like it would be a neat thing to do for an ongoing lesson for someone(teacher) who can do it.

One Response to “Second Life–I’m still working on my first”

I saw that CSI episode too! It was a real eye-opener. I really have never heard anything about people living a virtual second life, at least beyond the gaming that most people do, like Halo, WoW, etc. A little to weird for my taste.
